( 11 days - 10 nights ) Cairo - El Fayum - Wadi Rayan - Bahariya Farafra - Dakhala - Kharaga - Luxor

Day1

You will be met and assisted at Cairo International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day2

Breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus as well as the Sphinx and Valley Temple. Then visit the Egyptian Museum to see the vast array of splendid pharaonic artifacts. Overnight in Cairo.

Day3

Travel by road to the nature reserve Wadi Rayan, south of Fayum, a desert habitat that is home to gazelles and rare foxes. Then move on to Wadi Hitan (Valley of the Whales), which is a site rich in fossils, especially of marine creatures, and is known for its fiery red sunsets. Overnight in Fayum.

Day 4

Drive to Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy a tour around the old village of the oasis and see the groves of palms and fruit trees. Then take a trip to the Black Mountains, the sand dunes and the salt lake. Visit the ruin on a hill, 'the English House' at sunset and enjoy the panoramic view. In the evening, visit the village and shops. Overnight at Bahariya.

Day 5

Move on to the White Desert, passing through the Black Desert and the Valley of El Haize with its hot spring. Stop off to see the quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain and the volcanic rocks in the Valley of Agabat. Camp in the mystical silence of the White Desert, watching the myriad of stars. Dinner with Bedouin entertainment.

Day 6

Travel to Farafra Oasis and enjoy a tour around this oasis to see the palm groves and hot springs as well as the old village with its traditional mud-brick houses, and local artist Badr's unique mudbrick museum. Move on to the lush Dakhla Oasis surrounded by rose-colored cliffs. Overnight in Dakhla.

Day 7

Trip around Dakhla Oasis, the last place in Egypt where the water wheels, driven by buffaloes, are constructed. Visit the Roman temple Deir El Hagar in its serene surroundings and the Roman burial ground Mezzawaqqah. Travel on to Kharga Oasis, also famous for its hot springs. Visit Qasr el Labeka - a Roman fortress on the old caravan route. Overnight in Kharga.

Day 8

Visit the oasis' ethnic museum. Then see the Roman Temple of Hibis as well as the early Christian cemetery with its chapels painted with murals at Bagawat, nearby. Travel by road to Luxor and overnight.

Day 9

Sightseeing in Luxor to see the magnificent Luxor Temple and Karnak temple, then cross the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to Luxor train station. Overnight on train.

Day 10

You will be met and assisted at Giza train station and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 11

Breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
